Living History Walking Tours
Fall in love with Coeur d’Alene all over again this summer on a Museum of North Idaho Living History Walking Tour! Robert Singletary, in-resident historian and Program Director for the Museum of North Idaho, embodies the historic character of General William Carlin, Commander of Fort Sherman and Steamboat Captain Peter Sorensen. The 11am tour features historical landmarks such as the Fort Sherman Chapel, Officer’s Quarters, and the Powder Magazine. The 1:30pm tour features historical landmarks and architecture of downtown Coeur d'Alene. Tours are Tuesday-Saturday (weather permitting). Tours are $15/ adults, $7/ youth 6-16 years old and includes admission to the Museum of North Idaho and parking. These 1-1.5 hour walking tours depart at 11am for Old Fort Sherman and 1:30pm for Downtown Coeur d'Alene from the Museum of North Idaho 115 Northwest Blvd in Coeur d'Alene. 208-664-3448 We make every attempt to do social distancing and are requesting people to bring masks, especially for when we go inside.
